Three days in Hamburg – a city we already knew, but always enjoy coming back to. This time, Harry Potter brought us here, with plenty of time left for the harbour, the Alster and a taste of the city.
Two years after our kids had seen Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, they surprised us with tickets for Christmas – and with the show ending in Hamburg in July 2026, we had the perfect reason for a three-day getaway. We mixed a little magic with Hamburg classics: the Fischmarkt, Matjes, Johanna’s very first oyster, the Elbphilharmonie and the Alster, where a triathlon was in full swing – accompanied, of course, by an Alsterwasser. It wasn’t our first visit to Hamburg, and it certainly won’t be our last.
